Pure Brews America Season 2 Ep. 2 Preview

This week on Pure Brews America Ryan, Shannon and the crew check out two more breweries in the great beer state of Michigan. This week the crew makes their way out to Grand Haven Michigan for a visit to the always unique Odd Side Ales. Also on the agenda is a visit to the college town of Ann Arbor for Arbor Brewing Company.

Odd Side Ales


Odd Side Ales is a brewery that has built a reputation on thinking outside of the box. Some of their more popular beers include such offerings as Hipster Brunch Stout, Watermelon Wheat, Project Mayham, and El Dankerino. While visiting Odd Side Ales Shannon gets a pleasant surprise as Josh Gordon, Odd Side’s Production Manager, of Hazel’s Nuts out. Hazel’s Nuts is a much sought after bourbon barrel coffee stout that complimented with natural hazel nut flavors. We’re told this brew is delicious and totally lives up to expectations.

Arbor Brewing Company

Screen Shot 2016-07-11 at 5.55.03 PMArbor Brewing Company is a staple in the down town area of Ann Arbor. Some of their beers like Strawberry Blonde, Sacred Cow IPA and Michael Faricy’s Irish Stout are fantastic year round selections that keep are sure to keep your pint glass full and happy.

Climbing On Barrels –

“I had WAY too much fun at Arbor with Matt and Rene! The three of us share a love for sour beers, and they set me up with some time in their sour cellar. We used various devices to extract samples directly from the barrel!This was certainly a Season 2 highlight for me!”- Shannon
